Thread veins can be unsightly when they appear on our skin and in particular the face. Sometimes, thread veins may be a sign of a skin condition called Rosacea especially if they are associated with facial redness or flushing. Thread veins can also occur on other parts of the body such as the legs. In this situation, your Dermatologist may suggest a treatment called Microsclerotherapy, where a sclerosant (chemical substance) is injected into the thread veins.
